Savaii has accepted a scholarship to play for the University of California at Berkeley; he is now a Golden Bear.
From Coach Martinez:
We are extremely proud of Savaii and all of his accomplishments. He is very deserving and so are his parents Ray and Tammy Eselu who have done a fantastic job of teaching Savaii how to be a great young man of character. The Golden bears are getting a student-athlete who is motivated to do great things both on and off the field and we will miss him. We look forward to following his future career both academically and athletically. WAY TO GET IT DONE! WE LOVE YOU SAVAII! GO BEARS!

UNA SMILEY SIGNS LETTER OF INTENT
On Feb 7, 2007 Una Smiley joined many Junior College players around the nation as they signed their letter of intent and accepted full athletic scholarships to various universities around the country.
Una who has been a Junior College All American the last two seasons for Palomar JC in California has accepted a scholarship to play for the Oregon State Beavers.
From Coach Martinez:
“We are so proud of Una and how hard he has worked. He had numerous offers and that is a testament of how highly college football programs think of him as a person and a player. We know that he will continue to grow both on and off the field and make an impact at Oregon State, we look forward to following his progress as he rehabs his injury and makes it in the PAC 10. GREAT JOB UNA! WE LOVE YOU!”
